Colleges and Universities have increasingly sought tie-ups with corporates for the benefit of start-up ventures by students. Corporates share their industry experience with these start-ups, thereby helping them in the long run. The team at CAMS had an opportunity to meet the start up community at SRM University as part of a special mentoring session organized by the Department of Management Studies. The senior management team at CAMS was headed by Mr.N.K Prasad, CEO.
SRM University (Sri Ramaswamy Memorial University) in Tamil Nadu, is one of the top ranking universities in India with over 38,000 students and offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in Engineering, Management, Medicine, Science and Humanities.
The mentoring session saw the involvement from five well performing start-ups that presented their plan and ideas. The start-ups consisted of engineering students who had ideas revolving around e-commerce platforms in the areas of education, healthcare and transportation. Each presentation was followed by brainstorming between the CAMS team and the start-ups. The session helped the start-ups think through the challenges and improvising needed to scale their businesses.
The session ended with Mr.N.K Prasad presenting his thoughts on the session and sharing insights from his long drawn experience in the industry.
